Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) of Teachers, Lectures announced
The School Education Department plans to transfer teaching staff using an online system before the new academic session. The transfers will be completed by June 15, and individual transfers will not be entertained.

The School Education Department (SED) has announced plans to shuffle the teaching staff of educational institutions before the start of the new academic session. The transfers will be facilitated through the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD), an online system introduced by the department three years ago. Last year, the transfers were postponed to avoid disrupting academic activities as they were ordered during the mid-session.
In the latest development, the SED has issued a tentative schedule for the completion of online transfers in 2023. The notice for online applications for transfers of General Line Teachers (GLTs), Masters, Headmasters, Lecturers, and Principals will be issued by the respective Director School Education, as per the notification of School Education Department, J&K, vide no. 01-JK (Edu) of 2023 dated 26-04-2023.
GLTs and masters can submit their transfer applications from April 27 to May 11, 2023, and the processing of these applications will take place from May 12 to May 26. "The transfer process will be completed by or before June 15," as mentioned in the notification.
Similarly, the notice for online transfers of lecturers and principals will be issued by the administrative department, and candidates can submit their online transfer applications from April 27 to May 11, 2023. "The files will be processed from May 12 to May 26, 2023, and the transfer process will be completed by or before June 15," according to the notification.
It's important to note that the SED has decided that individual transfers will not be entertained, and the transfer system will not be active throughout the academic session. Eligible employees who do not apply for transfer despite having mature stay will be transferred by the Department as per its requirements.
