SWEEP Organised Mega Awareness Rally in Surankote
In order to promote voter awareness, a mega rally was organized by the SVEEP Team in District Poonch, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Sh. Yasin Mohd Choudhary IAS and Sh. Bishamber Dass, CEO Poonch (SVEEP Nodal Officer), at Surankote.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of students representing various schools in Surankote town. Students were briefed about the electoral process and importance of vote by the SVEEP team in the premises of Hr. Sec. School Boys Surankote.
As the Lok Sabha Elections unfold in seven phases, spanning from April 19 to June 1, with results slated for declaration on June 4, the rally aimed to educate students about the electoral process and the significance of casting their votes.
During the rally, students echoed fervent slogans such as 'Vote is my power,' resonating through the streets of Surankote town. The spirited chants served as a clarion call to the masses, underscoring the pivotal role of each citizen's vote in shaping the nation's future. With the democratic exercise underway, initiatives like these play a crucial role in mobilizing citizens, particularly the youth, to actively engage in the electoral process.
