Adv. Bhanu Partap Singh

Poonch: 8 May: Given the situation getting worse every passing day and the increase in the number of Corona positive cases in India and particularly in District Poonch, the civil society has come up with an appeal and sought the intervention of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Poonch. The Courts, including Supreme Court and High Courts, have always come to the rescue of people and during Corona issued directions to the government for taking the relevant steps to control the spread of Corona.

Adv Bhanu Partap, Member of the Bar Association, Poonch moved an application before (DLSA) Poonch and sought its intervention in accelerating the process of installation of Oxygen Plant in DH Poonch. It's to be mentioned here that as per the sources the Oxygen plant installed in Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital (RSSH) Poonch, will make fully functional after two months, and currently there are only 100 Oxygen cylinders available in the Hospital.

Secondly, Adv. Bhanu further appealed to the DLSA Poonch to seek the status/availability of the life-saving drugs w.r.t Covid-19 in DH Poonch.

He further sought the status of the total number of Ventilators currently operational in the RSSH (DH) Poonch and the opening of Jan Aushadhi Kendra (JAK) at Poonch.

Wajahat Hussain Kazmi, Secretary DLSA Poonch issued an order seeking the detailed report from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch and Medical Superintendent (MS) RSSH Poonch on or before 12-05-2021. DLSA under the overall supervision of the National Legal Service Authority (NLSA) and UT Legal Service Authority (UTLSA) has been involved in performing various activities for the welfare of the public and bringing justice to the doorsteps of the masses.

Adv. Bhanu Partap said, "We are highly thankful to the Chairman and Secretary DLSA Poonch for intervention and we are hopeful that all the concerned authorities shall take the cognizance of the matter and understand the alarming situation in district Poonch".
